1. The chapel of ordination hall (Ubosoth) of this temple houses two main Buddha images names Phra Suwannakhet or Luang PhoTo, being the principal Buddha image in the chapel which was brought down from Phetburi Province and Phra Buddha Chinnasiha seated in front of Phra Suwannakhet which was brought down from Phitsanulok.
2. Phra Buddha Chinasiha has been located at Wat Bowonniwet Vihara Phra Sumeru road, Phranakhon Bangkok, features; blend of Sukhothai and Chiang Saen art, Posture of Buddha Subduing Mara, Lap, 5 cubits, 1 pan, 4 inches, material; Lacquered and gilded bronze.
Phra Buddha Chinasiha had been brought down from Phra Sri Ratanamahathat Phitsanulok.
In the reign of King Rama III of Ratanakosin Period, the Vihara where Phra Buddha Chinasiha was housed fell into disrepair, King Phra Nangklao Rama III ordered Prince Bowon Mahasakdipholsep to bring Phra Buddha Chinasiha on rafts down to Bangkok on the Chao Phraya river when Phra Buddha Chinasiha arrived the residents had a 3-day celebration and established it on front porch of Wat Bowonniwet’s Ubosoth
Phra Buddha Chinasiha is Buddha image highly revered by the people of Phitsanulok and other Northerners.
It has been recorded that when Phra Buddha Chinasiha was carried out Vihara of Wat Phra Sri Ratanamahathat, the people were crying with sorrow and the entire atmosphere of the town was quiet as if one of the family passed away and taken out of the house.
From thait time the town had been without rain for 3 years and all the people of Phitsanulok had suffered with famine. After that Prince Bowon Maha Sakdipholsep had suffered from an illness by a serious case of edema for ever a year before passing away. The People belived thai the misfortune was due to he had removed Phra Buddha Chinasiha from Phitsanulok.
Phra Buddha Chinasiha remained together with Phra Suwannakhet in the main Ubosoth of Wat Bowonniwet Vihara till nowadays.
