2. Phra Vihara Khod

The gallery around the chaple in places of the Kam Paeng Kaew was built during the reign of Rama II. Entrance is by one of the doors found at centre of each side of the gallery. It has a tiled roof with doors opening onto four directions. Pillars are topped with gilded lotuses. Between the pillars and the body of the building, there are stone images made by Chinese artists. There are rows of 120 Buddha images insides the gallery in the style of subduing Mara which date from King Rama II’s period.

3. The two small Viharas

There are two small Viharas which are in front of the Prang and date from the Thon Buri period.

A. Bot Noi
A chapel in the north used to be the old ordination hall and now contains the royal bed of the King of Thon Buri made of one large plank of teak. Inside Bot Noi, there are 29 Buddha images both seated and standing. Historically, King Taksin became a monk in this chapel in the end of this reign. His bed is still on view. A statue of the king cast in 1945 is placed in this building.

B. Vihara Noi
The small Vihara in the south is older than the one in the north. The Vihara Noi was in the reign of Ayutthaya peiod. It contains the Chulamani Chedi which is a large Stupa with the four earth-protectors at the corners. On the door panels are gilt lacquer paintings depicting soldiers wearing hats and holding guns. These show workmanship of the time of King Rama V.

4. Mondop of the Buddha’s Footprint

A chapel the North of Vihara was built during the third reign and restored in the fifth reign and houses a copy of the footprint of the Buddha carved from Kwanton stones and decorated spire-top with colourful porcelain. There are four stupas standing a row east to west on the south side of the caphel. All are in the same style and size.
